Eanes, Elizabeth Whitlock
Elizabeth Gwinn Whitlock Eanes, 94, of Christiansburg, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, March 1, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gustavus Arthur and Lillie Pratt Whitlock; her husband, James Wade Eanes; 5 brothers; 3 sisters; and her son-in-law, John Creger.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Roger Eanes (Jodi), Karen Patterson (Les), Sandra McGugan (Dave), and Linda Creger; grandchildren, Mandy Raftery, Christopher Patterson, Catherine McElroy (Travis), Wade McGugan, Grace McGugan, Brandon Creger, and Lindsay Creger; great-grandchildren, William and Lily Raftery; sister-in-law, Vestal Whitlock; and many other relatives and special friends.
The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Tim Hight officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.

To All of my Dear Friend’s Family, This is something that no one every wants to hear. I truely loved Mrs.Eanes very much! I always looked forward to seeing her when she came in my door at church. As with all of her Family and Friends, I will miss her smile and humor. Now she will see JESUS and be united with her dear husband! Heaven is our goal in life on earth and she has completed her task. I’m sure Jesus is well pleased! I look forward to seeing in HEAVEN my Dear Friend. Andy
