Harless, Debra Moses
Debra “Debbie” Sue Harless, 68, passed on January 5th peacefully at home after a courageous fight against pancreatic cancer. Debbie was preceded in death by her son Matt Harless and parents Harold and Minnie Moses.
She leaves behind her daughter Staci (husband Josh); three grand-daughters, Logan, Maddie and Olivia Boone; and sister Cindy Moses.
Debbie, aka “Nana”, was a dedicated worker, most recently employed at the Community Center of the New River Valley. She spent countless hours volunteering in the community in which she lived and loved. Be it sporting events, community events, crocheting a blanket for a newborn, making fudge for friends or just sending a little note letting someone know she was thinking of them. She was of service whenever and wherever the need might be. So many words could be used to describe all that Debbie was – kind, strong, passionate, attentive, funny, but above all, LOVING. She moved in love. Everything she did was for others, with no expectation or desire for anything in return. She was the most genuine and generous person you could meet. Knowing her was the greatest blessing. She was adored by her three granddaughters and will be missed beyond belief.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation at Horne Funeral Home 1300 N. Franklin St Christiansburg, VA on Saturday January 11 from 2-3.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Eastern Montgomery High School Booster club at 4695 Crosier Rd, Elliston VA
