Adkins, Jennifer Collins

Jennifer Collins Adkins, 49 of Pearisburg, Virginia departed this life February 17, 2024 in her home. Born January 4, 1975 she was a daughter of Marvin “Buddy” Collins and the late Hazel Ruth Linkous Collins.

Jennifer enjoyed her job as a clerk with Holiday Motor Lodge, where she could engage with community and the joys of life. She loved to express herself in the arts, whether in coloring or in making herself beautiful as she expressed herself with the new make-up she would find. She loved to also collect purses. Her later contentment was found in reading a good book.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Ruth Linkous Collins.

Left to cherish her memory to their hearts are her father, Marvin “Buddy” Collins and step-mother, Toni; husband, Harvey Waddell, Jr; sons, Brendan Adkins (Amanda), and Ronald Copeland (Katy); step-daughter, Rhianon Waddell; grandchildren, Amelia Adkins, Cohen Adkins, and Roran Copeland; brother, Marvin William Collins; and step-brothers, Matthew Price and his wife Ashley, and Mikey Price.

The family will receive friends in a time of visitation on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 6:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Poff officiating.
