8/7-8 2026 Steppin’ Out

The 45th Annual Steppin’ Out® festival will be held in downtown Blacksburg on Friday, August 7, 2026 and Saturday, August 8, 2026.
Steppin’ Out features over 200 exhibitors from around the United States selling unique handcrafted items including jewelry, pottery, textiles, metal work, basketry, stained & fused glass, yard art, fine art, furniture, toys, artisan foods, continuous live music & entertainment on five stages, the Draper Mile & Fun Run on Friday evening and so much more!
Listen to and enjoy over 25 excellent musical acts all afternoon and well into the evening, both Friday and Saturday on five stages. The Main Stage provides continuous live music on College Avenue and Main Street. The Acoustic Stage brings folk, contemporary, and utterly unique sounds to the festival area of Main and Lee Streets. The Community Stage showcases local and regional performers and is located in the National Bank of Blacksburg Parking lot on Roanoke Street. And, new for 2026, the Draper Sidewalk Stage and Farmers Market featuring your favorite local performers.

Downtown Blacksburg merchants also hold their much-awaited final clearance sidewalk sales during Steppin’ Out. The festival foods you love are provided by downtown restaurants and local vendors.

Admission is free.
Town of Blacksburg metered parking is all free and Blacksburg Transit provides free shuttles from Chicken Hill near Lane Stadium to get you there without the hassle.
Steppin’ Out is a rain or shine event.
