* WHAT…Southwest winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

* WHERE…Portions of central, southwest and west central Virginia and northwest North Carolina.

* WHEN…From 4 PM this afternoon to 7 AM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS…Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs and weaker trees could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
