Williams, Marcy Caldwell

Marcella “Marcy” Caldwell Williams, 88 years old, born in Giles County, Virginia went to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 28, 2006 in Carilion New River Valley Medical Center.

She will be remembered for her quiet strength and presence, kindness, care, generosity, integrity, thoughtfulness, wisdom and hard work. She loved cooking, working puzzles, gardening, travel, dance, and cherished time spent with family. She was an independent thinker with a reserved character.

She was a devoted wife and mother who was a stay-at-home mom. She then worked outside the home at Celanese and Virginia Tech.

Marcella was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Wayne Williams and son, Bruce Williams.

She is survived by her children, Kimberly Williams, Cindy G Bane (Clay), and James D Williams (April), her 10 grandchildren: Carmel, Nicholas, Amber, Hannah, Matthew, Aaron, Lindsea, Ryan, Braylyn, and Xander; her 11 great-grandchildren, Maya, Carian, Briana, Rowen Cora, Charlotte, Jackson, Aubrey, Trenton, Clayton, and Leighton.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg, Virginia on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Shaun Wilburn officiating.
