Williams, Janice Lee

Janice “Cookie” Lee Williams, 85 of Floyd, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. She was preceded in death by her life partner, Nathan “Bill” Myers, Jr.; parents Carl and Nannie Hartman Williams; and brothers, Robert and Michael Williams.

She was born and raised in the Garden City area of Roanoke. For most of her life she worked in the banking industry, eventually retiring from Wells Fargo after 20 years.

She is survived by her step-daughter, Natalie “Vickie” Averys; step-grandsons, Brandon Hollins and William “Michael” Hollins; step-great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Briggs, Dakota Hollins, and Evan Hollins.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to her special caregivers, Summer Kirby, Gennell Vest, Becky Culbertson, Becky Owens, and Jennifer Duncan for their dedicated love and care of Cookie.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, Va.
