Williams, Barry Dean

Barry Dean Williams, 57 of Pembroke, VA departed this life October 5, 2023 in his home. Born October 25, 1965 in Giles County, Virginia he was a son of Anita Buckland Williams and the late William A. Williams Jr.

Barry loved his work as a mechanic, particularly when he would work on transmissions for many years. This to him was not just a job, but a passion. He was so dedicated to this work that it carried over to his personal life where he would work effortlessly for his friends. In addition, his creative abilities would transfer to artistry where he could paint a beautiful picture, or craft many things methodically with his keen eye for detail. A man who desired freedom, he also had a deep affection for motorcycles, which must have been felt in the revving up of an engine or the feel of the wind against him.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his half-brother, Robert Frazier.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Anita Williams of Ballard, WV; daughter, Brittany Williams (Brice Lankford) of Martinsville, VA; grandchildren, Cadance Williams, and Isabell Story; half-brother, James Bo Frazier (Trish) of Hiwassee, VA; sister, Sherrie Smith (Michael) of Blacksburg; special uncle, Roger Williams (Betty); special aunt, Betty (Robert) Reynolds; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
