Warner Applauds 702 Reauthorization

Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Mark R. Warner (D-VA) released the following statement after the Senate voted to approve H.R. 7888, the Reforming Intelligence and Securing America Act:

“Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) is a critical source of foreign intelligence. It is indispensable to the work that the men and women of our intelligence community do every day to protect our national security, and I am relieved the Senate has finally acted to send legislation reauthorizing Section 702 while protecting Americans’ civil liberties to the president’s desk.”
