Town of Pulaski Announces Water Restrictions

The Town of Pulaski announced mandatory water restrictions that are now in effect amid an ongoing drought that has been impacting the region.

Town officials cited water levels at the Gatewood Reservoir that have reached a threshold requiring the implementation of mandatory water conservation measures and the establishment of a drought emergency.

All Town of Pulaski water customers are required to discontinue non-essential water use. This includes the following:

Watering lawns, gardens and ornamental landscaping
Washing vehicles, except where necessary for public health or safety
Washing sidewalks, driveways, streets or other paved surfaces
Filling or refilling swimming pools
Other outdoor uses of water that are not necessary for health, safety or essential operations
These restrictions will remain in effect until conditions improve and the emergency is determined to have ended in accordance with the town’s code.
