Thomas, Steven Linclous
Steven Linclous Thomas, 67, of Blacksburg, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 1, 1959, he was the son of the late Virgil Thomas and Betty Mannon White.
Steven was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a faithful servant of the Lord. For more than 38 years, he dedicated his life to ministry, sharing the Gospel, encouraging others in their faith, and serving his community with compassion and humility. His unwavering faith, kind heart, and servant’s spirit touched countless lives throughout the years. Beyond his own family, Steven acted as a father figure and mentor to many, always offering wisdom, encouragement, prayer, and a listening ear to those who needed him.
Steven is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Donna B. Thomas; daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Michael Galliher, Rebecca and Andrew McPeak; sons and daughters-in-law, Jesse and Trinity Thomas, and Seth Thomas; sister and brother-in-law, Lisa Thomas and Troy Thompson; brothers, Mike Thomas, Shawn Thomas and Jeff Thomas; grandchildren, Adelyn and Ronan Galliher, Drew and Audrey McPeak, and Kaiden, Isabella, and Tinsley Thomas.
He is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family members, and dear friends whom he loved deeply and who were blessed by his friendship, encouragement, and faithful example throughout his life. Steven also shared a special bond with his wife’s family, whom he loved as his own, cherishing the many years of memories, laughter, and fellowship together.
Steven will be remembered for the love he had for his family, his deep faith in Christ, and the wisdom and kindness he freely gave to others. Though his absence leaves a tremendous void, his family rejoices in the promise that he is now at peace in the presence of his Savior. His legacy of faith, love, and ministry will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, July 10th, 2026 at Fairlawn Church of God in Fairlawn,Va. Family visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., with the service beginning at 4:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Pastor Marcus Harrison and Pastor Don Leonard. The family is being served by McCoy Funeral Home Inc.
