Taylor, Bessie Likens

Bessie Likens Taylor, 87 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 25, 2024. She was surrounded by her family. She is survived by her three sons, Carlos Taylor (Jean), Donald Taylor (Teresa), Jimmy Taylor (Monica); grandchildren, Zachary, Christopher, Aaron, Amy (Ronnie), Jordan, Hannah (Shawn), Stephanie; and great-grandchildren, Alaina, Jesse, Evelyn Otillie, and Finnian.

Bessie enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She was a devoted mother. Her priority was God in everything that she did. She was a faithful member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Radford. Bessie composed religious songs, played the guitar, sang on the Blacksburg Radio Station, sang in nursing homes, and in churches.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Friday, March 29, 2024, at 11 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Zane Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
