Taking Constitutional Amendments to Virginia Voters
Governor Abigail Spanberger today released the following statement after signing legislation to set referendums on proposed amendments to the Virginia Constitution.
“Virginia voters deserve the opportunity to respond to the nationwide attacks on our rights, freedoms, and elections. Everyone deserves the freedom to marry who they love — and Virginia’s Constitution should affirm that all families are welcome in our Commonwealth. Women in Virginia deserve the freedom to make their own reproductive healthcare decisions without politicians dictating their choices. When Virginians have paid their debt to society, they deserve to regain their right to vote. And when other states take extreme measures, I trust Virginia voters to respond.”

Is it time to investigate to pros & cons of WVa Senator Chris Rose’s proposed invitation for 36 bordering Virginia counties to initiate a boundary adjustment to would make them West Virginian counties?
He certainly makes a several good points.

what about our rights? you’re trying to take away everything we have. same sex marriage, restore voting rights, illegal immigrants living on our money, typical politician lies, lies lies. put some clean panties on and stop smelling up VA and go back to the rock you crawled out from.

typical politician, lie lie lie just to get votes. people don’t want their kids growing up marrying the same sex. another voting lie. and what is wrong with voter ID? demonuts are afraid that they will lose a bite from people that shouldn’t be voting in the first place. why even charge anyone with a criminal offense when nothing happens to them anyway and now a trans demonuts wants to restore rights. you people are the dumbest on earth. makes me ashamed to say I live in VA. Hamburger needs to go back to the rock she crawled out from.

I insist on voter ID so don’t try and pretend that certain people can’t get ID’s. Nonsense. When you speak of the Virginia Constitution affirming that all families are welcome in the Commonwealth, you are referring, of course, to legal citizens. I am not willing to pay taxes that are used to provide free services to illegal immigrants or deadbeat citizens that are not willing to work.

Gay marriages, abortion, recreational marijuana and convicted felons voting in Virginia?????? It’s like I woke up in California! Spermberger is nothing but a super libtard……

She is everything that I oppose. History does not need to be erased. Who is speaking for the baby that will be murdered. ICE is only doing their job and trying to protect Americans. Who is going to support illegals? The citizens of VA need help, the homeless, the vets. Why dont you help us? Your gun control issues are ridiculous. What are you doing about the promises you made to get elected?

They need to add a thumbs up or down button on these comments from the citizens. I would put a big thumbs up to your comment. Thanks for speaking up for many, many that don’t take the time.

The redistricting amendment that the Dems are pushing is unconstitutional and unwarranted. The people of VA have already spoken on this matter and voted on a bipartisan committee to decide redistricting needs. This is a pure political power grab. It’s what the Democrats cried foul over when Texas was doing it. Now that they are in power, it’s not unconstitutional? It’s political maneuvering to disenfranchise Republican voters.

As long as none of these proposals go against or mince words with the United States Constitution or go against federal law it is what it is. If they are truly in the best interest of Virginians and not pushing a political rhetoric so be it. But there are bills being proposed and voted on today that do violate federal law, are not in our best interest push a political rhetoric. . So far she has done nothing but shhow the word moderate , and trust, affordability are just vote gaining lies. True colors show.

As long as each of those motions is voted by individually and not as a package, then we will see where Virginians stand on each issue. Don’t force us on all or nothing, please.
