Sherman, Grant Leon

Grant Leon Sherman transitioned on May 22, 2023, at Cozy Home Haven, Radford, Virginia at 93 years old. He was born May 1, 1930, to the late Robert Houston and Juanita Paige Sherman. He was the last of their 14 children. He was also preceded in death by his wife Ada Ernestine Sherman.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son Ronald D. (Betie) Mills; two grandsons, Jason (Ashley) Mills, and Myron (Fajr) Mills; great-grandchildren Myree Mills, Mycah Mills; Special nieces Inest Hurdle, Esther Reed, Keiona Eaves; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 11:00 am at Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin, VA, with Rev. Jessie Eaves officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 31, 2023, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at McCoy Funeral Home.
