Ross, Wayne Ellery

Wayne Ellery Ross, age 86 of Austinville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at the Salem VA Medical Center. Born November 28, 1939 in Shorts Creek, Virginia he was the son of the late Arlen Ross & Mary Frances Pickett Ross. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Angie; brothers Stuart, Bill and Delmar Ross; sisters Edna Mae Johnson and Virginia Nelson.

Wayne was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Children – Robert Ross, Jeremiah Edwards, Dustin Edwards, and Cynthia Price Leonard

Brothers – Frankie Ross – CA, Harold Ross, FL and Ernie Ross – Pulaski, VA
