Redd, Brian Keith
Brian Keith Redd, 47, of Charlotte, N.C., went to his eternal resting place on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James Sr. and Lucy Redd; and his maternal grandparents, William Sr. and Louise Brooks.
Brian was born in Pulaski, Va. to James Redd and Shirley Redd. He graduated from Pulaski County High School and Ferrum College with a degree in Political Science and Government. While there, he was on the Dean’s List, was vice president of the Student Government, and was an exchange student in Ireland.
He began his career as a Financial Planner at American Express after which he made the leap into the banking sector in North Carolina. He held many positions: Senior Vice President for Bank of America for 12 years, Vice President Small Business with Wells Fargo, Sr. Vice President for Pinnacle Financial Partners; and his las position was Director of Business Development for Lendesy.
He worked in the community with the youth, assisting the high school football team, and was a member of the Big Brothers. He enjoyed visiting his family and was recently here to celebrate his mother’s birthday.
He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Shirley Redd of Radford; his father and stepmother, James, Jr. and Dreama Redd of Pulaski; uncles and aunts, Ralph (Debb Brooks of New River, Gladys Jackson of Roanoke, Margaret Hairston of Radford, William (Tina) Brooks of Kingsport, Tenn., Larry Brooks of Roanoke, Carl Brooks of Chatham, Madelene Howard of Princeton, W. Va., Edith (Anthony) Boysaw of Pulaski, Charlotte (Jerry) Montgomery of Pembroke, and Brenda Redd of Pulaski; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Eric Ramey officiating.
