Paxson, Susan Owen
Susan Kay Paxson (Owen), age 66, passed away suddenly on June 4, 2026. Born on September 19, 1959, Susan brought warmth, light, and a wellspring of love into the world.
Her life was defined by her deep faith in God, her absolute devotion to her family, and her lifelong passion for children. Susan dedicated her career to early childhood education, including welcoming kids into her own home. She truly loved teaching and mentoring young minds, leaving an indelible mark on countless children and families over the years.
Susan shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Clayton Paxson. Clayton stood proudly by her side as her partner, protector, and champion, together they built a life full of deep love and devotion.
Susan is survived by her husband, Clayton Paxson; her sons, Andrew Caton and Tom Caton (Ashley); and her grandchildren, Jordan, Nina, William, and Rico; step-children, Deryk Paxson, Sean Paxson (Heather), Jessica Hoffman (Nate), Candace Knutsen (Michael), Aaron Paxson; step-grandchildren, Brandon Paxson, Taylor Paxson, Nicole Paxson, Joshua Paxson, Isabel Paxson, Summer Paxson, River Paxson, Samuel Hoffman, Zachariah Hoffman, Skylar Hoffman, Alyssa Hoffman, Christina Hoffman, Stephen Gillikin, IV, Seth Gillikin, Tyler Gillikin, Madison Paxson, Morgan Knutsen, and Emily Knutsen. She is also survived by her brother, Scott Owen (Melinda); her niece and nephew, Amber and Stefan; and the many families she served through her work in childcare.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Muriel Owen.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
