Page, Joyce Akers

Joyce Anne Akers Page, aged 86, passed away on July 26th, 2024, in Spartanburg, SC. Born on November 2, 1937, in Christiansburg, VA, she graduated from the local high school in 1955. Joyce was a beloved member of the Morning Side Baptist Church, where she actively participated and formed lasting bonds within her community.

Joyce was a wonderful mother, always providing support, wisdom, and love. Her kindness and strength remain a lasting legacy to all who knew her. She enjoyed various hobbies, including crafts, painting, and crocheting, which brought joy not only to her but also to those around her. She leaves behind her husband, Jerry Page; daughter, Heather Ford Page; son, Tim Chafin; brother, Don Akers; grandchild, Ashley; and several nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma Marie Absher and Samual Akers. A service to honor Joyce’s life will be held on September 11th, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Church, 641 Craig Mountain Road, Christiansburg, Virginia 24073.
