Montomgery, Effie Goad 8Effie Lea Goad Montgomery, age 89 of Dublin passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the Highland Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Dublin. Born March 24, 1934 in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Walker & Lular Quesenberry Goad. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Crowder and a number of brothers and sisters.

Effie retired from the Radford Army Ammunition Plant.

She is survived by her

Husband – Marvin Cecil Montgomery – Dublin

Son – Terry (Dana) Bishop – Draper

Stepson – Robert (Alice) Montgomery – Dublin

Grandchildren – Stephanie Bishop (Luis) Piscura – Dublin, James Robert Montgomery

Great Grandchildren – Leona Reed, Delaney and Bencen Montgomery

Special Neighbors – David & Libby Flanagan, Ernie & Scylenea Alley and sons, Hunter & Drew, LeRoy & Lola Lytton

Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM – Thursday evening December 21, 2023 at the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski with Pastor Joe Ratcliff, III officiating. A private interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until service time Thursday at the Funeral Home.
