McClaugherty, Charlotte Spencer

Charlotte Spencer McClaugherty, 75, of Christiansburg passed away November 25, 2023. She was a member of The Church of God of Prophecy and a Godly woman, a great mother, and grandmother. She was always looking after people including the many foster children she and her family provided a home to through the years.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Martha Spencer; daughter Gemmia McClaugherty; and grandson, Levi Bond. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, James McClaugherty; daughter, Crystal Bond and husband, Kevin; grandchildren, Landice McClaugherty, Jada Bond, Logan Bond, and April Bond; great grandchildren, Landon, Hunter, and Reagan; brother, Harold Spencer and wife, Ruby; brother, Michael Spencer and wife, Sheryl; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 30 from noon to 1 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. with Rev. Zane Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Den Hill Cemetery.
