Mann, Pearl ThompsonMinnie (Pearl) Thompson Mann, age 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, with her son, Gary by her side. Pearl, born in Hinton, WV on March 30, 1930, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She enjoyed life with her beloved husband, Omer Mann, and cherished her days with friends and family on their Indian Creek farm in Red Sulphur Springs.

Pearl was predeceased by her husband, Omer Mann, an infant daughter, her brothers, Lee, Frank, Russell, Ray, Otis, John, and Bill; her sisters, Katherine and Ruth, and her daughter-in-law, Bonnie Hazelwood Mann.

She is survived by her son, Gary Wayne Mann, fiancée Joanne Sarver Brooks, a granddaughter, Jessica Scott Summers, husband Tanner Summers; a grandson, James Christopher Mann, fiancée Taylor Holander; and two great grandsons, Mason Ames Summers, and Oliver Scott Summers.

Pearl grew up in Buck, WV, attended grade school there, and graduated High School at Forest Hill. She worked for a year at Celanese before marrying Omer in 1949. After her marriage she worked as the Assistant Post Mistress at Red Sulphur Springs. Pearl was of Baptist faith, a member of The Red Sulphur Springs Community Church, and served as Treasurer of the church for many years. Pearl was fond of gardening and farming.

Pearl resided at Country View Assisted Living for over nine years. The family would like to thank the kindness of her loving care givers at Country View and Peyton Hospice Care.

A life celebration will be held at Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral home in Peterstown, WV on Sunday, March 16, 2025, with Pastor Steve Howdock presiding. Friends will be welcomed by the family from 2 pm – 3 pm with the service following at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to the Red Sulphur Springs Community Church Cemetery, 452 Indian Creek Road, Ballard, WV 24918.
