Mallery, Gary Edward
Gary Edward Mallery, 83, of Dublin, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026. He was born and raised by the late Angela and Raymond Mallery in Susanville, California. Gary served as a Marine and once honorably discharged, he worked for C+P telephone company until he retired.
During his first marriage, he had three daughters which resulted in six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren. After marrying the late Deanna Burnett Mallery, he gained two stepdaughters, Sandra Hill and Vicki Hawkins (Jerry).
Gary enjoyed gardening and maintaining his River Place Sanctuary and planted many different trees and flowers so the family would have a place to enjoy in remembrance of him. He loved to fish in rivers and oceans and enjoyed cooking many unique dishes to include Hatteras Spuds and variations of polenta that he used to enjoy with his twin brother, Larry, who precedes him in death.
Along with his children, stepchildren, grandchildren, step grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he is also survived by his sister, Norma Martin.
Per his request, services will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Pulaski Adult Day Service and Fall Prevention Center, 211 Fifth Street, Dublin, VA, 24084.
The Mallery family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford, Virginia.
