Layman, Maxie Cox

Maxie Mae Cox Layman, 79 of Willis, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Powell & Dinah Odell Cox; and brothers, John William Cox and Hiram Cox.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Randolph T. Layman; daughter & son-in-law, Lisa & Darryl Baker; step-grandson, Ryan Baker (Kelly); step-great-grandsons, Tulson and Walton Baker; brother, Harold L. Cox; sister-in-law, Nancy W. Cox; numerous nieces and nephews; and special granddog, Bella Mae.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 in the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the Quesenberry Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
