Lawson, Sandra Semones

Sandra Sue Semones Lawson, of Staffordsville, Virginia passed away on September 8, 2026, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 17, 1951, in Covington, Virginia.

Sandra will be remembered with love by those who knew her and by the family she held dear throughout her life. She worked as a Production Supervisor at Celanese, a role that reflected her dedication and steady commitment. In her spare time, Sandra was an avid reader and enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ellen Dalton and Marissa Dalton; by her grandchildren, Marranda Dalton and Brandon Lawson; and by her sisters, Betty Kendall, Dorcas Martin, and Peggy Richards and Bob. Each of them carries forward treasured memories of Sandra and the lasting place she held in their lives.

Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Lawson and Diane; by her father, Charles Otis Semones; by her mother, Mary Ann Defibaugh Semones; and by her siblings, Linda Hosey, Frankie Haley, and Fred Semones.

A private graveside service will be conducted at a later date at Fairview Cemetery in Narrows, Virginia where she will be laid to rest.
