King, Jacqueline Lambert
Jacqueline “Jackie” Lambert King, 87 of Narrows, VA., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Jackie was born on July 22, 1938, in Narrows, VA, and was the daughter of the late Vance Silas Lambert and Ada Strauther Crabtree Lambert. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Davidson King, Jr., a son, David V. King and a sister, June Chaney.
Jackie was born and raised in Wolf Creek, Narrows and graduated from Narrows High School, Class of 1955, and she graduated from Bluefield Business College. She was a life-long member of Hales Chapel, United Methodist Church in Narrows, a member of the Wolf Creek Ruritan Club and a retired employee of the Celanese Corp, in Narrows. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, traveling and camping with her family.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Susan A. Kidd (Dennis) of Narrows, Lisa K. Korb (James) of Elliston, 1 son, Richard E. King (Regina) of Winston-Salem, NC, 5 grandchildren, Silas Korb, Catherine Korb, Jeremy Kidd, Jonathan Kidd, Christian King, 3 great grandchildren, Alice Kidd, Cameron Kidd-Chuon, Charlotte Kidd-Chuon, a sister, Shirley L. Wheeler of Rich Creek, sister-in-law, Nora Hopkins of Pulaski, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 2pm at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows with the Rev. Carl Belcher with burial following in the Boyd Cemetery in Narrows. The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service from 1 – 2pm.
