Janney, Robert Francis

Robert Francis Janney, also known as “Buzz”, son of Jerry Janney and Linda Trent, died on Friday, June 9, 2023. He enjoyed employment at Heritage Hall, the WV Pipeline, and being a self- employed truck driver. He loved fishing, hunting, woodworking, spending time with family and friends, and taking drives on the backroads. He was a kind and loving man who will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and everyone that knew him.

Besides his grandparents, he was preceded in death by a son, Devon Chey; and a daughter, Raegan Page. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Jerry (Drema) Janney and Linda Trent; his children, Sierra (TJ) Clemons, and Robert Gage Janney; three grandchildren, Ashlyn, Gunner, and Maddie Clemons; one sister, Sherry (Jimmy) Miller; two nephews, Jerrod (Daniella) and Trenton (Kathryn) Miller; and one great niece, Hadley Miller.

A casual gathering of friends to celebrate Robert’s life will be held from 5:00PM until 7:00PM on Friday, June 16, 2023, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV. A memorial service will follow at 7:00PM, with Pastor Shawn Murnahan officiating.
