Hunter, Edith Wade

Edith Wade Hunter of Christiansburg, VA passed away on May 13, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Beverly Hunter; parents, Boss and Ruby Wade; sisters, Ila Agee and Alma Mannon, brothers Barney, Gene and Dale Wade.

She is survived by a son Dennis Hunter; sister, Alta Conner; sister-n-law, Cora Thompson; nephews, Roger Mannon (Nancy), Marvin Wade (Sandy), Wayne Hunter (Sherry); nieces, Mavis Reed, Jennifer Jerels (Wesley).

She will also be remembered for her loving and kind nature and by many who called her Ms. Hunter, Mom or Edith Lou. Edith worked at Imperial Reading until its closing. She then started doing demos in stores which she loved.

The family would like to thank the people at Warm Hearth and Good Samaritan for their care and compassion.

Graveside services will be Saturday May 16, 2026 at 11 am Sunset Cemetery.
