Huckleberry Trail Widening Begins September 8

Beginning Monday, September 8 at 8:00am, a portion of the Huckleberry Trail will be closed between Hightop Road and just north of Warm Hearth Drive.
A paving contractor will be working to widen and improve the trail. The existing trail will be fully removed and then reconstructed as part of this effort. During construction, access alongside and adjacent to the trail will be fully restricted for both pedestrian and cyclist use due to the removal of the trail surface and safety hazards presented by the construction efforts.
A detour of the trail will not be possible while the work is being completed. This section of the trail will be closed to pedestrian and cyclist use for the duration of the project; the trail will remain closed nightly.
This work is expected to take approximately three weeks and is expected to be complete by Friday, September 26 at 7:00pm, weather permitting; the trail will remain closed for the duration of this work period.
A subsequent phase of trail widening, located immediately adjacent to the north, is planned and will be coordinated under separate notification at a later date.
