* WHAT…West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph possible.

* WHERE…In North Carolina, Alleghany NC, Ashe, and Watauga Counties. In Virginia, Carroll, Floyd, Grayson, and Roanoke Counties.

* WHEN…From 7 AM to 10 PM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS…Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
