Gandee, Jeffery Eric

Jeffery Eric Gandee, age 51, of Christiansburg, died, Sunday, September 6, 2026. He was born in Marion, OH on October 3, 1974.

Jeff graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1993 where he was a four-year letterman in golf. He was the Marion County, Golfer of the Year in 1993. Then in 1995, he attended Mundus Golf Institute in Phoenix, AZ and then moved to San Diego, CA and became the assistant pro at The Grand Del Mar Golf Club. In 2004, Jeff moved to Virginia to be the pro at Auburn Hills Golf Club and was there for over 22 years. He was also the head coach for the Auburn Hills Golf School team for 20 years and won the State Championship three times, along with multiple Head Coach of the Year awards.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Collins Gandee; sons, Tyler and Drake Gandee; daughter, Gabrielle Collins; grandson, Wyatt Jones; parents, Larry and Pam Gandee; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Kim Gandee; niece, Taylor Gandee; nephew, Brennan Gandee; several other relatives; as well as all of his friends, staff and golf community at Auburn Hills, as well as his present and former Auburn High School golf teams.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Blue Ridge Church, Christiansburg, with Pastor Neal Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Auburn High School, 1650 Auburn School Drive, Riner, VA 24149, (in the memo line reference Jeffery Gandee Memorial Scholarship Fund).
