John M. Fant Jr, 71, of Christiansburg, Virginia, peacefully entered his Heavenly home on June 14, 2024. He was proceeded in death by his loving mother Gloria D. Volpe.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 30 years, Vickie; daughters, Kimberly Sweet and Beth Oliver; grandchildren, Courtney (Cody) Vega, Christopher Sweet II, Renlee (Lissie) Oliver, and Juniper Vega; a brother, Don (Teresa) Fant; brother-in-law, Ralph Thompson; several nieces, nephews, and many cousins; close friend, Ronnie (Vickie) Robertson.

We would like to thank the Dr’s, nurses, and dietary at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center and Pulaski Lewis Gale Hospital for the loving care they gave. Family would especially like to thank the dietary department for their loving care and spoilingness they gave.

Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 AM prior to the service at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. S.W., Blacksburg, Virginia. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to help with the service.
