Exploring Art in the NRV
The YMCA at Virginia Tech proudly announces Exploring Art in the NRV, a community‑wide exhibition celebrating the vibrant network of galleries, studios, creative businesses, and artistic spaces that make the New River Valley a rich and dynamic cultural region. The exhibition will be on view March 2–April 10, 2026, with a public reception scheduled for Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 PM.
Rooted in the YMCA’s mission to nurture a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all, Exploring Art in the NRV uplifts the creative energy that defines our community. By bringing together partners from across the region, the exhibition strengthens connections, fosters belonging, and creates a welcoming shared space where art unites people of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences.
The exhibition highlights the many organizations that make the NRV an exceptional place for artists and art‑lovers alike. Featuring work drawn from a diverse range of local creative spaces, Exploring Art in the NRV celebrates collective creativity, encourages collaboration, and invites the public to discover the abundant opportunities for artmaking and art‑viewing throughout the region.
