Erica Ann Sipes in Concert April 18
The Floyd Center for the Arts invites the public to an inspiring afternoon of live music on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 4:00–6:00 PM in Fallon Community Hall, featuring acclaimed pianist Erica Ann Sipes.
This unique concert highlights piano works by women composers spanning more than 300 years of music history. Through expressive performance and engaging storytelling, Sipes brings forward voices that have often been overlooked, offering audiences a meaningful and memorable listening experience.
The program includes works by Marianna Martines, Florence Price, Margaret Bonds, Germaine Tailleferre, Mélanie Bonis, Lili Boulanger, and others. Each piece is paired with context and insight, creating a concert that is both accessible and deeply engaging for a wide range of audiences.
Erica Ann Sipes is known for performances that are both musically compelling and personally engaging. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, she serves as staff pianist and performance coach at Radford University. She is also a founding member of the Alma Ensemble and co-creator of Piano Music She Wrote, both dedicated to amplifying music by women composers. Sipes is a Virginia Commission for the Arts Touring Artist.
Tickets are $30 for general admission, with free admission for students. Advance ticket purchase is encouraged.
