Elliott, James Patrick
James Patrick Elliott, age 67, of Blacksburg, died, Friday, July 19, 2024, at VCU Medical Center. He was born in Radford, VA on August 9, 1956. He was preceded in death by his father, James Guy Elliott, and stepfather, Shirley Echols.
Pat retired from Virginia Tech after 45 years in the Reprographics Center. He loved golfing, bowling, and animals.
He is survived by his wife, Jeri G. Elliott; mother, Ruth Echols; sons, Matthew Blankenship (Meredith), Luke Elliott (Solei); sisters, Kaye Endahl (John), Rosanna Gearheart (Robert); stepbrothers, Dale Echols (Teresa), Dennis Echols (Patricia); special uncle and aunt, Brownie and Jeannie Miller; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at New Mt. Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Brian Katz and Pastor Todd Hallinan officiating. Interment will follow in the New Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.

Jeri and entire family, I am shocked and very sad to hear of Pat’s passing! i missed seeing him at the Vet School when working on their copiers. Bowling and golf were really fun also. i will miss him very much! My prayers are with everyone for God’s mercy and love to be with you in this sad time.
