Duncan, James Stephen

James “Steve” Stephen Duncan, 76, was born in Christiansburg, Virginia on January 1, 1950, and passed away on July 14, 2026. Steve retired from the Radford Army Ammunition Plant after over 38 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Arvil Duncan; his mother and stepfather, Elsie and Harold Dudley; and his brother, Tim Duncan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara Duncan; daughters, Lisa Renee Duncan and Regina Duncan Dickinson; grandsons, Joshua Duncan and Zack (Tara) Akers; great-grandson, Zaylen Dusara-Akers; stepmother, Barbara Duncan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy (Linda) Duncan, and Dean (Tammy) Duncan; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sheila (Scott) Pillsbury, and Tamara (Kenneth) Keen; brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Bonnie Wilson; and numerous other family members and special friends.

Per his request, no services will be held at this time.

The Duncan family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford, Virginia.
