Dillon, Billy Wayne

Billy Wayne Dillon, age 73, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Charleston, WV. Born August 9, 1952, in Peterstown, WV, he was the son of the late Harvey Kester and Edna Lee Masters Dillon.

Billy was a member of the Kellysville Church of God. He enjoyed watching tv, especially westerns. The obstacles Billy overcame throughout his life is nothing short of miraculous. Although he was handicapped and lived a difficult life, he never failed to bring joy and laughter to those around him. He was loved throughout the community and loved going around and hanging out and visiting different local businesses. Hometown was especially good to Billy, always providing him with a meal. He was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harvey Lee Dillon and Frankie Dillon and wife Mildred; and sister, Patty Henderson and husband Dan.

Those left to cherish Billy’s memory include one brother, Tommy Dillon and wife Mae of Peterstown, WV; sister-in-law, Gerlene Dillon of Peterstown; many special nieces and nephews whom Billy loved dearly; and many friends in the community.

A special thanks to all the weekly Sunday morning phone calls from the nephews and great nephews who lived out of state. Billy truly cherished those phone calls. Also, a special thanks to all the nephews and nieces that were always there for Billy when he needed them.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Pete Dunford officiating. Burial will follow at Bradley Cemetery in Lindside, WV. Visitation will be held from 12:00PM until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home.
