Davis, Teresa Whittaker

Teresa Whittaker Davis, 80, of both Parrott and Floyd, Virginia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 24, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Edna Whittaker, husband Ray Davis, three daughters Lorrie Andrews, Anita Franklin, and Sam Viars; son-in-law Richard Hunter, brothers Gary and Gerald Whittaker, as well as many other close relatives.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters Mary Hunter and Linda (Johnny) Franklin. She is also survived by her brothers John Whittaker and Bill (Janet) Whittaker, sister Patricia (Don) St. Clair, and her special aunt Betty. She will also be loved and cherished by her 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many close nieces, nephews, cousins, and in laws.

Teresa was a lifelong and devoted member of the Church of God. She knew the importance of a genuine relationship with the Lord, as well as the church community. She was “Granny” to anyone she encountered. We would like to give thanks to Good Samaritan Palliative Care and Hospice for their time and aid.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the New Hope Church of God with Rev. T. Michael Bond and Rev. Eddie Dalton officiating. Interment will follow at West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 PM prior to the service.
