Cox, Lacie Arwood

Lacie Arwood Cox, 83 of Indian Valley, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023. He is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Gallimore Cox.

He is survived by his sons, Norman A. Cox, Norbert L. Cox, and Raymond N. Cox; daughter & son-in-law, Judy Duncan (Alton, II); grandsons, Trey Duncan (Sierra) and Caleb Duncan; siblings, Waitman (Patricia), Eldridge (Mary), and Payton (Judy), and Gayle; and brother-in-law, Bobby Phillips (and the late Noble).

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Thursday, February 23, 2023 in the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Nathan Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the Ambrose Cox Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until Noon prior to the service the funeral home.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses on the medical unit at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center for their care as well as Lacie’s special friend Sandra.
