Cox, Harold Leonard

Harold Leonard Cox, 87, of Indian Valley passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Lee Phillips Cox; son, James Harold Cox; parents, John Powell and Dinah Odell Quesenberry Cox; siblings, John William “Bill” Cox, Hiram Cox, and Maxie Cox Layman.

He is survived by his son, David Earl Cox; brother-in-law, Randolph T. Layman; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 in the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Poston and Pastor Mindy Chaffin officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at the funeral home.
