Conley, Larry Wayne

Larry Wayne Conley, most recently living in Roanoke, VA., departed this life on April 8, 2026. Larry was born in Narrows, VA., on August 22, 1948. He was preceded in death by his parents Will Clayton Conley and Goldie Conley. He is survived by his brother, Jerry Melvin Conley.

Larry graduted from Narrows High School in 1967, and attended Danville Technical Institute, majoring in Mechanical Technology and Textile Management. His employment history includes machine design and operations at Dan River Mills, Newport News Shipyard and Celanese. He has resided in Danville, Hampton, Giles County and most recently in Roanoke and Bedford County.

Larry had a unique ability to find something in common with everyone he came in contact with, and he made a point of keeping in touch with old and new friends and relatives, even as his recent health issues limited his ability to visit. He will be greatly missed.
