Collins, Toni Sawyers
Toni Gay Sawyers Collins, 65, of Pembroke, Virginia, passed away on September 29, 2026, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born on November 14, 1960, in Radford, Virginia, Toni lived a life marked by warmth, energy, and devotion to the people she loved.
She was known for her vibrant personality and for the way she brought people together wherever she went. Toni was a social butterfly by nature, and she had a gift for making others feel welcome, valued, and remembered. Her presence left a lasting impression on family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Toni was the owner of Fast Track, where she devoted herself to her work with determination and pride. Through her business, she demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to serving others.
Family was at the center of Toni’s heart. She is survived by her husband, Marvin “Buddy” Collins; her sons, Matthew Price and his wife Ashley, and Mikey Price and his partner, Lorri Walton; and her step-son, Marvin Williams Collins and his wife Cassandra. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Lexi Price, Ely Price, Mason Price, Chase Price, and Bella Collins, each of whom brought great joy to her life. Toni treasured the time she spent with her family and found her greatest happiness in being surrounded by those she loved. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Gilmore.
Toni was preceded in death by her parents, William and June Graham Sawyers, as well as her siblings, William Sawyers and Barbara Criner. She was also preceded in death by her step-daughter, Jennifer Collins Adkins. Her family relationships were an important part of her life, and she carried those bonds with her always.
Toni enjoyed the simple pleasures that made life meaningful. She loved spending time with her family, cooking for those around her, and visiting yard sales in search of something special. She also enjoyed shopping, including internet shopping, and she took delight in the little treasures and everyday joys that added color to her days. These interests reflected her lively spirit and her appreciation for both companionship and fun.
The family will receive friends at a time of visitation on Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM in Kendall Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 2:00 PM in Kendall Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Poff officiating.
