Collins, Deborah Adkins

Deborah Collins, 67, of Pilot VA passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. Deborah is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Della Adkins; son, Christopher Todd Collins. brothers, Gary, Ronald, and James Adkins; sister, Juanita Hollinsworth.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Barry Collins; daughter, Michelle Collins; special niece, Courtney Rowland; special nephew, Justin Nester; special great-nephews; Cameron Vitaliano, Chase Rowland, Hudson Nester; special great-niece, Isabelle Nester; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Gloria and Leonard Holms, Kimberly and Sonny Nester; brother-in-law; Foster Hollinsworth; special aunt, Loretta Lytton; special friends, Sandy Toney and Rita Martin; as well as many special nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Deborah worked for Montogomery Public Schools as a bus aid for 31 years. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed by everyone whom knew her, especially her nieces and nephews who were the light of her life.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 5-7 pm at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at noon at Lighthouse Family Minorities located at 365 Union Valley Road, Riner, Va 24149. With Rev. Bufford Linkous officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
