Cline, Debbie Morris
Debbie Ann Cline, affectionately known as “Momaw Dee,” passed away peacefully at her home in Peterstown, West Virginia, on October 4, 2026, at the age of 66. She was born on December 21, 1959, in Giles County, Virginia, to the late Danny Robert Morris and Bessie “Becky” Pearl Morris (Lucas).
Debbie was a woman whose love was felt most deeply in the simple, everyday things. She was a homemaker who took pride in her home and the people she cared for, and she spent many years working alongside her family at Cline’s Well Drilling. She was a hardworking, loving, and devoted woman who never needed much recognition for all that she did for the people she loved.
One of Debbie’s greatest joys was gardening. She loved being outside, tending to her plants, watching things grow, and finding beauty in the little things. Her love for her garden was a reflection of the kind of person she was—patient, nurturing, and always giving a little more of herself.
Above all else, Debbie loved Jesus. Her faith was an important part of who she was, and she found comfort, strength, and hope in Him. Her church family held a special place in her heart, and she leaves behind not only family by blood, but a church family who loved her and will continue to carry her memory with them.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Danny Robert Morris and Bessie “Becky” Pearl Morris; and her beloved sister, Aileen Shrader.
Those left to cherish her memory include her only daughter, Rebecca Cline; her son-in-law, Ryan Callison; her granddaughter, Olivia Wills; her grandson, Michael Crawford; her sisters, Lisa Morris and Sandy Thompson (Morris); her brother, Robert Morris; many nephews and nieces. Her church family at North Narrows Tabernacle, and many other loved ones whose lives were touched by her.
Debbie’s former husband, Mike Cline, also remained a devoted presence in her life. Though their marriage had ended, compassion can remain even when life takes people down different paths. His presence and care for her will forever be a meaningful part of her story.
To those who knew her, Debbie was more than a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, or friend. She was Momaw Dee—a name filled with love, comfort, memories, and a lifetime of moments that will never be forgotten.
Her hands may no longer be tending her garden, but the seeds of love she planted in the lives of her family and everyone who knew her will continue to grow.
Her earthly life has come to an end, but her love, her faith, her memories, and the mark she left on those around her will remain forever.
Until we meet again, Momaw Dee.
We love you, and we will carry you with us always.
