Christian, Hobert R.

Hobert R. Christian, 82, of Lindside, WV, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Monroe and Chloie Combs Christian of Wikel, WV.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Donna Christian; and three siblings, Lola Jean Christian, Joseph Christian, and McKinley Christian.

Survivors include his children, Linda Roberts and husband Tim of Ballard, WV, and Mike Christian of Sanford, FL; siblings, Robert Christian, Hazel Halstead and husband Jimmy, Lonzo Christian and wife Sharon, Ruby Copeland and husband James, Shelby Paynter and husband Ivan, Phyllis Shrewsbury and husband Kenneth, Jerry Christian and wife Delcie; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the Mt. View Cemetery in Wikel, WV, with Pastor Bob Mann officiating. Nephews and friends will serve as pallbearers.
