Cardiac Catheterization Lab opens at LewisGale Montgomery
LewisGale Hospital Montgomery announced today the opening of its newly renovated, state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Lab during a ribbon cutting ceremony. The new Cardiac Catheterization Lab is part of nearly $35 million in capital improvements the hospital has invested to enhance the delivery of cardiovascular services, advanced medical equipment, new patient safety, and quality efforts.
The renovated Cardiac Catherization Lab, which includes upgraded echocardiogram technology for cardiac imaging, will provide advanced system applications that enhance patient care, make complex procedures safer and simpler, and provide physicians with advanced technology to perform a comprehensive range of diagnostic and interventional procedures.

LewisGale Hospital Montgomery serves the cardiovascular needs of patients, stretching from West Virginia, through the New River Valley, to the Tennessee and North Carolina borders. The LewisGale Hospital Montgomery cardiology team performs elective and 24/7/365 emergent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), with door-to-balloon times well under the national average. The Cardiac Catheterization Lab provides minimally invasive treatments including angioplasty and stenting to open blocked arteries and pacemakers.
