Blevins, Paul Herbert

Paul Herbert Blevins, 94 formerly of Pembroke, VA and lately of Blacksburg, VA departed this life on May 2, 2022 in Blacksburg, Virginia. Born in Giles County, VA on December 27, 1927, he was a son of the late Alray and Nora Goodman Blevins.

Paul was served his country as a Naval Veteran of World War II and later would serve his country as a Marine Veteran. Paul retired eventually from the CSX Corporation as a railroad police officer. He practiced his faith in attending Castle Rock Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Frantz Blevins to whom he was married for greater than 65 years; daughter, Phyllis Johnson; brothers, Larry Blevins, Carlton Blevins “Bill”, and Nathaniel Blevins; and sisters, Nanny Poff, and Faye Perkins.

Left to cherish his memory to their hearts are a son, Bill Blevins (Rita) of Greeneville, TN; daughters, Jackie Blevins of Christiansburg, VA, and Beth Fullington Englewood, Ohio; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

There will be a funeral service conducted on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Poff officiating. Funeral services will conclude in a graveside service with military honors at Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg, VA.
