Blacksburg Police Investigating Two Burglaries 4Update: Since Saturday’s initial report, numerous leads have been generated with two additional burglaries having been reported to the Blacksburg Police Department. Detectives continue to investigate every lead and are working to determine if these incidents are connected. In addition, uniformed patrols have been added to the apartment complexes and neighborhoods in town.

The community is cautioned not to draw conclusions on any crime based on unofficial sources of information, including social media. Additional information will be released at a later date and time.

**ORIGINAL POST: On Friday, January 22, 2021 Blacksburg Police responded to the 400 block of E. Roanoke St. for a breaking and entering of an occupied residence that occurred in the early morning hours of January 22nd. The suspect is described as a college aged white male wearing dark clothing and face covering.

On Saturday, January 23, 2021 Blacksburg Police responded to the 500 block of Sunridge Dr. for a breaking and entering of an occupied residence that occurred in the early morning hours of January 23rd.

Several items were taken during these incidents.
