Basham, Wanda Jones
Wanda Jones Basham, age 73, of Christiansburg, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Christiansburg on September 3, 1950, to the late Calvin Ronnie Jones and Elizabeth Mae Creasy.
Wanda graduated from Christiansburg High School and spent 36 years in banking, retiring as a branch manager in 2005. She loved her family deeply, and she was an amazing wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will always be remembered for her love of animals and her unwavering dedication to her family.
She is survived by her husband, Richard E. Basham; daughter, Amy B. Kyle (Jay); son, Jason R. Basham (Pam); sister, Brenda Jones; grandchildren, Marshall Basham, Hayden Kyle, Kayleigh Kyle, Logan Bosley (Emma) and Lindsey Bosley, great-grandchildren, Audrey and Elena Bosley, special brother-in-law Gerald Basham, and special nephew Eddie Burlingame (Tracy).
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 1:00 PM in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, with the Pastor Mike Neuse officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00- 1:00 PM before the service.

Ricky, Vernon and I are so sorry to hear of Wanda’s passing. Wanda was always so sweet and although we didn’t see each other often, when we did she was always the same sweet, funny Wanda. Please extend our deepest condolences to all of your family for us. Our love, Vernon and Sandy McDowell
