Baker, Joseph Neal

Joseph Neal Baker, age 69, of Blacksburg, died Wednesday August 19, 2026. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on January 30, 1957. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Baker, and brothers, Roger and Bruce Baker.

He is survived by his mother, Doris Baker; sons, Tyler Baker, Derek Baker (Katie Day); sisters, Cindy Baker, Diane Linkous (Leon), and Penny Thompson (Tony); grandchildren, Bryant and Elijah Baker; nephew, Josh Thompson; niece, Kelsey Dudley; great-nephew, Marshall Dudley, and great-niece, Brighton Dudley.

Memorial service will be conducted on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Wiggins officiating.
