Apostolou, Brenda Page 4Brenda Page Apostolou gracefully passed away on August 23, 2022, in Boca Chica, Fla., surrounded by family and dear friends. Brenda was born on November 7, 1946, in Floyd, Va., to Vivian and Gertrude Childress Page, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Floyd County High School in 1964.

Brenda was a devoted wife and mother. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Judge John L. Apostolou, of Roanoke, Va. Brenda is survived by her cherished son, John (Jay) Albert Wilmer, II, and his wife Melissa (Mitchen), of Huddleston, Va., their daughter Jennifer Parker, her husband Travis and their children Alex, 12, Ayden, 9, and Axton, 6, of Hampton, Va., and their son Zachary Hodge and his wife Kristen, of New Port News, Va.; daughter Cynthia Apostolou Cox and husband Fred, of Roanoke, Va., and their daughter Alexandra Lee Cox, of Winston Salem, NC; daughter Laura Apostolou Balzer and husband Thomas, and their children Chase Balzer, of Tampa, Fla., Ciara Balzer, of Denver, Co., and Austin Balzer, his wife Holli and their children Wade, 3, and Brooks, 1, of Charlotte, NC; siblings Patricia Page Blackwell and husband Robert (deceased), of Floyd, Va., Vernon W. Page and wife Nancy, of Roanoke, Va., Deborah Page Agee and husband Michael, of Smith Mountain Lake, Va., Carolyn Page Boyd and husband Bobby (both deceased) of Gillette, Wyoming; Teddy R. Page and his wife Connie, of Salem, Va., Connie Page Shaw and husband Bruce, of Bent Mountain, Va., and Michael L. Page and his wife Vonnie, of Orange, Va.; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Brenda was beautiful, kind, funny, and creative. She loved life and her seaside home in Boca Chica, where she was memorialized at sea by family and friends on Saturday, August 27, 2022. A celebration of Brenda’s life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., Monday, November 7, 2022, at Montano’s International Gourmet, 3733 Franklin Road SW, Roanoke, Va., 24018.
